Our son attended Kids town for 3 years and had an excellent experience. In his 1st year, he was potty trained with great patience and learned some Spanish language. A special thanks to Ms Karina for his 1st year at Kids Town. Every drop off and pick up, she gave us updates in great detail. In his 2nd and 3rd year, he had a well rounded experience including gardening, cooking, art and of course math and reading. His math reached 2nd grade level able to do multiplication. His is also able to read simple sentence books. A special thanks to Ms Saro for his 2nd and 3rd years at Kids Town. She was well regarded by many of the parents with her warm heart and also excellent curriculum. Also a special thanks to Ms Mahsa, the school director. She had timely and concise response to so many of my requests.

See all reviews →I am so thankful for this school. The owner is very kind and cares about the families and students. Their knowledge of how to help children who may struggle in certain environments is exceptional. My son has struggled at other schools. He is very energetic and sometimes does not understand boundaries (like many children). This school has been a game-changer. He is thriving with the routine and structure that the school and Montessori system provides and it has completely changed his experience at school and also has changed the stress levels I feel when he goes to school. This has translated to his behavior at home and he is more calm and peaceful overall. I have toured every Montessori school within a fifteen-minute radius of Kid's Town and even enrolled my son in another local Montessori school a little closer to my home that lasted two weeks. Kid's Town Montessori school has way better teachers and structure and is a true Montessori system. My son did not thrive at all in the first one we tried. Kids Town has been a night and day different experience. The facility is beautiful and has the most spacious and brightly lit classrooms. The teachers are knowledgeable and experienced. Everyone has been friendly and they are all "children whisperers". One important point that I hadn't thought about much when searching for a school, is the space of the classrooms themselves. Smaller environments with kids crowded into the classroom can make children who struggle with being "handsy" act out a bit more. Space for the kids is more important than I would have thought and that is also making a huge difference. I am beyond impressed and happy with how my son is doing in their care. I have seen great changes in my son and his social skills. The difference in his temperament is notable and I would definitely recommend Kid's Town to everyone!
My son & I moved to Vista during the pandemic. He was 3 at the time, still in diapers. Due to my work I was able to get him into Kid's Town a few months later. Ms. Karina was his first teacher and thank God for them - they helped me with potty training and getting him socialized and around other children. He moved from pre-primary to primary and the way they teach math and explore cultures, sciences, and multiple languages (basic exposure to colors/numbers) was great!! He thrived at Kid's Town for 3 years and we still stop by to visit now that he's at another school, but I have given many referrals to KTMS and have great experiences with the teachers and staff. Plus, a ton of lovely memories!!
It has been remiss of me not to leave a review of this wonderful school after all the great years our family has spent here. My oldest son was just 18 months old when he first started in the baby room (he's 10 now). Until then, I had never trusted anyone other than family to care for him, so leaving him with new caregivers was incredibly difficult. Ms. Shirin helped make that transition so much easier. She carried him around lovingly, helped him adjust, and showed him so much kindness and patience. In truth, she treated all of the children with that same level of care. One of the things that initially made me choose KidsTown over other programs was the camera system throughout the school. Being able to see firsthand the excellent care the children were receiving gave me tremendous peace of mind. I also loved being able to check in and see my little guy enjoying his day and participating in activities. Before long, he was cleaning up toys at home while singing the "clean up" song he had learned at school! It quickly became clear that this was so much more than daycare--these children are truly learning and growing every day. As he moved into the Pre-K classroom, he began developing strong academic skills and a genuine love of learning. Every teacher he had helped nurture his strengths and encouraged his curiosity. He later moved into the kindergarten and elementary programs, where he continued to flourish with the benefit of close instruction and individualized attention. He has now successfully transitioned to public school, and I truly credit much of his academic success to the strong foundation he built at KTMS. Our second child now attends KTMS. He is autistic and has some additional needs, and the support he has received has been extraordinary. Ms. Karina and Ms. Suzie have been wonderful with him in the toddler classroom. Ms. Karina goes above and beyond every single day to support both him and our family. Before that, Ms. Mala was incredibly loving, patient, and attentive with him in the baby room. Since starting here, we have seen tremendous growth and progress. We could not ask for a more caring, attentive staff or a more positive environment. Supporting a child with extra needs truly takes a team, and at KTMS, we have found our village. While KTMS may not be the least expensive childcare option available, it has absolutely been one of the best investments we have made in our children's future. Mrs. Mahsa, along with her mother, are exceptional administrators. The school is consistently well-run, organized, and responsive. Whenever I had a question or concern, Mahsa was always accessible and proactive in finding solutions. Her years of experience with both children and running a successful school are evident in everything she does. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of the KTMS family for so many years, and I would wholeheartedly encourage any parent to consider it for their child.
Our son is in the toddler class and we love it. The teachers are loving and Ms. Mahsa is fantastic as a director. I plan to keep our son there until he ages out. Tuition does not include meals, but they do allow you to order lunches for a fee and snacks are provided. Full time with day care is from 7am to 6pm so there is enough time to get to and from work. Flexible part time scheduling and summer flexibility (only pay for the weeks you attend) made this school our top choice and I have never regretted the decision to attend.
From the moment you walk in, you will notice that this place just smells and looks clean. I also noticed that the entire facility is it secure looking. This means they have locks on all the fences and key card or password access for the front doors. They have cameras, that allow you to login through a website, and watch your child throughout the day. It is a nice thing for first-time parents to be able to check in and see how their child is doing. All of the staff members are very friendly. From the moment we toured the facility I was eager to put my child here.
Kids Town Montessori School (KTMS) came highly recommended to us by a friend. I had researched many schools in the area (Carlsbad to Encinitas) and found KTMS to be the best by far. My child went to KTMS for over 3 years and I have only the best things to say about this school. The teachers and staff are truly loving, caring and nurturing. Many of them have been with the school for years and their commitment to the children’s well-being is evident in everything they do. The school’s facilities and playgrounds are clean and exceptionally well-kept. Children learn through hands-on doing. I love how the curriculum includes practical life skills. Reading, writing, Math and Sciences are taught through conceptual learning. Multiplication and division concepts are taught as early as 4-5 years of age depending on the child. The teachers truly cared about an all-rounded development of the child teaching respect of self and others We love Kids Town Montessori!
I’m so thankful for this school, Mahsa, and all of the amazing teachers. The facility is far and above superior to every other school that we toured. Large spacious classrooms, fish tanks, and very clean environment. This is the first school my son has thrived at and I attribute that to both the teachers and the more spacious and less crowded environment. Thank you Kids Town!
Kids Town was a wonderful school for my daughter who attended for 3 years. The teachers are warm and patient but dedicated educators. The Director has a great respect for family and culture. She and her daughter have built a community not just a fabulous school. We love KTM and miss it
A beautiful school with the most caring and loving staff. I had three kids come to this school and I couldn't be happier. The only reason we are not staying here longer is because we are moving out of state. I highly recommend this school to all parents.

MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY
What is Montessori Education?
A Montessori pre-school education emphasizes four areas: care of self and the environment, sensory and motor education, writing and reading, and math skills. As the child and the skills develop, special attention is placed on science and related fields; geography, zoology, botany, geology, and chemistry.
